Overview

If you have one day in Luxor, this is the tour to take. Start on the West Bank with the royal tombs and Hatshepsut’s temple, cross the Nile by boat for lunch on an island, then finish at the great temples of Karnak and Luxor.

Itinerary

1. Pickup

   Meet your guide at your hotel or Nile cruise.

2. Valley of the Kings

   Visit a selection of the royal tombs.

3. Temple of Hatshepsut

   See the queen’s terraced temple at Deir el-Bahari.

4. Colossi of Memnon

   Stop at the two giant statues of Amenhotep III.

5. Nile boat ride and lunch

   Cross the river by boat and have lunch on an island.

6. Karnak Temple

   Walk through the Great Hypostyle Hall and the temple courts.

7. Luxor Temple

   End the day at Luxor Temple, then drive back.
